Information you provide
When you contact us or submit a testimonial, we receive the name, email address, message, video link, and other information you choose to provide. Website form submissions are emailed to our team. Emailing a video or sharing a video link also gives us access to the content you send. Please do not include payment card numbers, passwords, or sensitive medical information in a general website form or testimonial.
When you shop or create an account, we collect information needed to handle the order, such as your name, billing and shipping details, contact information, products ordered, and account information. If you begin checkout and provide contact details, our cart-recovery tools may use that information to help with an incomplete order.
How we use information
We use information to respond to questions, process and fulfill orders, arrange appointments, provide customer support, manage accounts, review testimonials, prevent spam or misuse, maintain business records, and operate and improve the website. If you choose to receive marketing communications, you can use the unsubscribe option in those messages or contact us to stop them.
Payments, bookings, and other providers
Credit card payments at checkout are processed through Square’s payment form. Payment information is handled by the payment provider; please do not send it by ordinary email. If you choose a saved-payment option, the payment provider handles the associated payment credentials.
Online appointment booking takes place through Acuity Scheduling, a Squarespace service. Information entered there is processed through that service. Digital book purchases through Payhip and purchases through other linked shops are handled on those providers’ websites under their own terms and privacy policies.
Information may be processed by providers that support our hosting, email, website forms, ecommerce, payment processing, taxes, shipping, scheduling, analytics, spam prevention, and communications. These include services available through WordPress/WooCommerce, Jetpack/Automattic, Google email, Square, Acuity/Squarespace, and our email marketing tools. We also disclose information when needed to fulfill an order, comply with applicable law, address misuse, or protect legitimate rights.
Cookies and website activity
WordPress, WooCommerce, and connected services use cookies or similar storage for functions such as login, cart contents, checkout sessions, preferences, security, and website statistics. Hosting and analytics services may process technical information such as IP addresses, browser or device information, pages visited, and the time of a visit.
You can manage cookies through your browser and remove stored cookies. Blocking cookies may prevent features such as the cart, checkout, or account login from working correctly. This policy does not itself activate or replace any cookie consent controls required for a particular visitor or service.
Embedded content and external links
Our pages may include maps, audio players, or other embedded content. Using these features can send technical information to the provider, which may set cookies or recognize you if you are signed in to its services. Linked websites operate independently of A Natural Way. Review the privacy information offered by Google, podcast hosts, Square, Squarespace/Acuity, Payhip, and any other provider you use.
Comments and uploaded content
If comments are available and you leave one, WordPress collects the information shown in the comment form, your IP address, and browser information to help detect spam. An anonymized email hash may be provided to Gravatar to display a profile image. Approved comments and associated profile information can be public. Images or videos you submit may contain metadata, so remove location or other private metadata before sending them.
Testimonials
Our testimonial form sends your submission to our team; it does not automatically post it on the website. We will seek your permission before using your submitted testimonial publicly. Only share a video you have the right to share, and avoid including another person’s private information.
Retention and security
We retain information as needed for the purposes described here, including responding to requests, providing services, maintaining order and business records, resolving disputes, and meeting applicable obligations. Retention may differ between email, orders, account information, and records kept by third-party providers. Where comments are enabled, approved comments and metadata may remain until removed. Information may also remain in backups until those backups are replaced or deleted.
Access to customer information should be limited to people and providers who need it for their work. No website, email service, or method of storage can guarantee complete security. Please contact us if you believe information sent to us has been compromised.
Your choices and requests
You can contact us to ask about your information, request access or a correction, ask us to delete information, or withdraw permission for future use of a testimonial. Depending on where you live and the applicable law, additional privacy rights may apply. We may need to verify your identity, and we may retain information required for legal, accounting, security, or other permitted purposes. Contact natureopath@gmail.com to make a request.
Our providers may process information in the United States or other locations where they operate. Their policies explain their processing practices and any applicable safeguards.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the website or our practices change. The effective date above identifies the latest revision. Questions about this policy can be sent to our team using the contact details above.
